Julius Kiefe was the seventh of eight children of the married couple Fanny and Moses Kiefe. He learned the trade of a merchant and moved to Stuttgart, where he is first listed in the 1906 address book. Further entries show that he had worked as a commercial agent. While he often changed apartments in his early years in Stuttgart, he apparently found satisfactory accommodation at Kornbergstraße 15, as he lived there for over ten years.
This changed during the Nazi era. Julius Kiefe had to move to another apartment, which also housed other Jews. In February 1942, the single Julius Kiefe was moved from this apartment at Kernerstraße 11 to the forced residential home in Weißenstein Castle.
But in August of that year, he was deported from Stuttgart to Theresienstadt concentration camp on the same transport as his widowed sister Bertha Eisenmann. Less than a month later, he also had to leave this place. Julius Kiefe was deported to the Treblinka extermination camp on September 26, 1942 and murdered by the German Nazis shortly afterwards.
